The Competition
A high-profile competition dedicated to opera singing, open to singers of any nationality and vocal register. The competition celebrates the extraordinary figure of Maria Teresa Agnesi, a pioneer of opera and of women’s musical culture in the eighteenth century, championing vocal and interpretative excellence within the international operatic scene.
Participation is selective and highly qualifying: candidates will face an online preselection followed by a semi-final and final held in person, before an internationally renowned jury made up of artists, agents, artistic directors, stage directors and conservatoire teachers. A concrete opportunity to be heard by leading figures in the field.
With a single category, open to singers aged 18 to 36, the competition represents a stage of the utmost importance for those who wish to test themselves with professionalism and passion, taking their voice to where history, talent and artistic vision meet.
The Jury
The Agnesi International Opera Competition draws on a jury of international prestige, made up of opera singers, world-renowned musicians, artistic agents and orchestra conductors. A highly qualified panel, able to offer an expert, contemporary and perceptive perspective on vocal and interpretative art.

The Regulations
The regulations of the Agnesi International Opera Competition are designed to ensure clarity, rigour and the enhancement of vocal talent at every stage of the competition.
The competition is open to opera singers of any nationality, in a single category that allows each participant to compete at a high level, in line with the requirements of the international professional scene.
The selection process comprises a preliminary online round, followed by a semi-final and final held in person, in a welcoming and artistically inspiring setting.
The performances will be assessed by a highly qualified international jury, with the aim of identifying and promoting the most promising and authentic vocal talents.
The Prizes
The Agnesi International Opera Competition rewards excellence in opera singing with awards designed to support and enhance the participants’ artistic journey.
Alongside the prizes for the top three finalists, the competition offers special prizes dedicated to particular artistic merits, including the best female performance in the name of Maria Teresa Agnesi.

Organizers
Cristina Rampini and Manuel Gervasoniโs long experience in the world of teaching and the desire to valorize historical figures of music have led to the birth of the Agnesi International Music Competition. The competition celebrates Maria Teresa Agnesi, one of the first important female composers of the 18th century, giving space to new talents and promoting musical excellence while respecting her artistic and cultural heritage.
